Hey its Myles here and i wrote this poem for our project:

The office full once again

Employees shuffling through paper

Skirting pens skidding through tasks

Work

Work

Works

Boss constantly patrolling on tasks

Studying across the hall

Listening to shouts of failure

Shouts of success

A sauna

Salt raining down, blood rises: stress

Home awaiting your exhausted arrival

Sparrows teasing you outside your prison window

Another cursed day ends

Yellow breaking through the black

The Office

Full

Once

Again

“Classroom” to “Office”

 “Students” to “Employees”

 “Teachers” to “Boss”

well this poem is about school life but also to tell adults mainly parents and teachers that we have a lot of pressure on us in school as it is in the office. So sometimes they should try to take it easy on us because school and the office isnt easy at all.

Hey guys, its steve. i wrote a poem about school life..

Sleepy expression written on faces
Clock that moves like a turtle
Stared by students from all places
Stuck with class work with an echo of hurtle

Reverberation, bangs, thumps, and thud
Seem not apprehending the actual moral
Sweat descending like tears and rain flood
Classrooms hushed like swamp laurels

Socializing with friends
Cool, popular, admired, trendy kids
Dull, tedious, monotonous, boring kids
Ending up with totally different results

Earning unique stars for baby trees
Watering them by stars with trend
Expanding with great and helpful keys
Stars burnishing with beams in the end

Hey people!

Yesterday I wrote this post and it just gives a little introduction about my school. I will also like to know how do you feel about school, when does your school starts and at what time it ends, what kind of people you find in your school and how does your school affects your daily life.

My school is called Colegio Jorge Washington, but people prefer calling it Cojowa. It is located in front of the sea. However, the school and the beach are divided by a street. Nearby, it has a supermarket called Olimpica, a drugstore, and a hospital. The center of the city is not so far away either.

Our school starts at 7:00 A.M. and ends at 2:30 P.M. During those seven hours and a half, we have two recesses. The first Middle School recess lasts for twenty five minutes, while the second recess lasts twenty minutes. In recess, I mostly talk with my friends and eat at the cafeteria. Other people, however, like to play soccer or basketball. Because my school is located in a small city and is a small school, it has few students. There are about 500 students in Cojowa. Each grade is divided into two and each class has maximum about 21 or 22 students. Students aren't only from Cartagena. Most of the students are from Cartagena and Colombia. However, there are few students that come from the US. Teachers, in the other hand, come from many different parts around the globe. There are Canadian teachers and American teachers, but the majority are from Colombia. Colombian teachers need to speak English, otherwise, they would be Spanish teachers, religion teachers or P.E teachers.

Cojowa, even though it is a high academic level school, it is also a cool school. In special days or holidays like Valentines, Halloween, Christmas, etc, our school plans different fun activities. There are contests and gifts and secret hunts and challenges. We also have parties, Sweet Heart Dance, New Year's party and more. It is very exciting because there you can meet with all your friends and have fun with them.

Cojowa is a small school. However, it is a very fun place to learn, play, and talk with your friends. I feel very proud and comfortable in my school. Because it is the place were I spend most of my time, it is very important to feel like that. I like a lot its teachers and its academic level. However, the next things I would like to write about my school life are the advantages of Cojowa and the disadvantages. I also plan on asking students and teachers about their opinion about Cojowa.

Hey guys! It’s Steve from Mr. Raisdana’s class. I chose this topic because I’m pretty much interested in how other schools in the world work and how their systems are like. I also want to know what kind of after school activities you guys have, what kind of subjects you guys have, and all the detailed information about schools. And maybe I can find some similarities and some differences. Nowadays, many students are stressed about school and do not know the purpose of school. They might go to school for their duties or their parents force them to go. They would be stressed about tons of homework and the school works that they will have in school. They just want to hang out with friends and not learning anything from school. They think that school is jail for them where they will be stuck in places for several hours and only study. I really want to know how you guys feel about school and the reasons. Thanks. Steve

Hey, Im Myles from Mr. Raisdana's class and i can help u all contribute photos and poems. Well i choose this topic because i wanna tell people mostly adults that school isn't that easy as they think. They went through it and Im sure they hated some of their school years and loved some too. Some parents pressure us every time u keep on studying and revising everyday that we just get so so scared to get any mark below 95%. They think that school is so much easier than their jobs that they have but actually school is so similar to their jobs, its just a bit easier. Im sure they hate it when their boss keep nagging them and tell them their work inst good enough then they have to work last nights to get it above 95%. what Im trying to say is we need a break too. Myles

School Life

Message:In our documentary, we wan to tell people that even though school life is good for your education, you need to know how to control it. School life can affect alot in your homes because many children get stressed to their homes because of many pressure and many homework. We also want to tell people that schools have advantages and disadvantages. Some disadvantages can affect your daily school life. For example, bullies. Bullies are kids that feel superior than other kids. If you ask any children how does a bully looks like, they would tell you that he or she is very big and strong. Bullies always pick on people, because they think that they have all the power, picking on little and inocent kids. Overall,I think school life is a big part in our lives because it prepares us for our future and for the problems and obstacles we are going to cross when we grow up.

 Hey people!

Well here's some other information about the advantages and disadvantages of my school.

ADVANTAGES

Some advantages of Colegio Jorge Washington are:

  • It is a high academic level school.
  • It has teachers with lots of experiences that come from many places.
  • For most of its students, it is near our homes.
  • Cojowa has a complete program due to electives and extra classes.
  • It is a nice place to meet, talk and get to know new friends.
  • There are few students in each class so its better because the teacher can dedicate more time and focus on each student better.
  • It has good places to work like the cafeteria, the library, the art room, etc. It also has palces to play sports like volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball, and more.
  • Cojowa brings, each year, different programs that talk about values and creating values and those things.
  • It serves good working materials such as note books, text books, board markers, and other things like posters or scissors, which are moslty used just when they are needed.
  • It gives students the oportunity to participate in different sport teams and travel with the school's team.
  • Each year, it has special events like the Cultural week, the drama plays, and more.
  • It serves good services like a nursery, Audio Visual room and comfortable places to work like the Lab.
  • It has AC on the classrooms because the climate here in Cartagena is very hot and humid.

DISADVANTAGES

As Cojowa can be good in some ways, it needs to improve other things. Some disadvantages of Cojowa are:

  • There is no space to realize expecific activities.
  • Because Cojowa is a small school, it doesn't have much space for meetings and flag ceremonies for all Cojowa students and teachers.
  • It has small space for sport events and tournaments.
  • At 2:30, which is when school ends, th street get lots of disordered traffic because of cars coming to pick up students and buses waiting for students.
  • It doesn't have enough classrooms so teachers need to be interupting classes to change classrooms.
  • The recesses are very short. I think they need to be longer because the cafeteria is too little and the waiting line is very long.

In conclusion, Cojowa has very good things, but it has to improve on others. Students, parents, and teachers are working to preserve the good things. However they are also trying to improve the bad things. Overall, I think Cojowa would continue being a good schooland a good place to meet and talk with your friends, but it will still be facing other disadvantages in the future too.
